How long did your child/children sit in a high chair?
I was just looking to see how long other moms used their high chair, and at what age did you stop using them? I have a regular graco plastic one thats an older model and was given to me for free, But now I want our daughter to sit at the table with us, but she is still a small almost 1 year old. when she sits in the chair she always slumps and slips forward. So I would have to buy a high chair for the chair but it would have to have a center piece in the middle so she wouldnt slip out, so it would basically be a highchair instead of something that turns into a booster seat.. Do you think I would use it long or would it be a waste of money? I mean she's already 1... what do you think? Thanks

I use one similar to the 2nd one along with my high chair. I use the booster for the table feedings and the high chair for when I’m sitting up high at the bar on a stool.
My baby is now 15 months.

i would use the second one i have the first one and my daughter hates it, she’ll only sit in it 5 mintues and then screams to get out of it.

Pointless? No.
My daughter actually hates sitting in her highchair now, she used to not care. Around, 14ish months she wanted to start sitting at the table, so I bought a booster seat.

My 2 1/2 year old still uses his high chair. . . but that’s because we have a high-top dinner table and I don’t feel comfortable putting him in a booster because of the height.
I just looked at the pictures & the picture of the 2nd one is the one we use with our 2 1/2 year old.

My daughter used her high chair, until she was about 1 year and a half. Than I got her the booster seat, kinda like the one that you have the the second link. My son is 16 months old and I was able to take his tray off and lower the high chair and it pushes right up to the table now. I also have a little toddler picnic table (some people use table and chairs for toddlers) that I put in the corner of the living room for his snacks and stuff.
I would go with the second on if I were you and than you can take the tray off and pull it up to the table
