My baby swing won’t work?
Hi, I have a Graco baby swing (model number 1A23SFS, mfr date 062308) and I cannot get it to swing. The batteries are brand new, I have never used it, the swing is brand new, yet it won't do anything, even with my giving a push. I know I can call Graco, but I was wondering if anyone could give some tips -- maybe I'm doing something wrong?
P.S. When I do give it a little push, the swing makes a clicking noise. Since I've never used it before, I don't know if that's normal. And I have the seat all the way reclined back because I have a newborn. Thanks for reading/replying.

Sounds like you got a defective swing. I would call the manufacturer, there should be a # on the box somewhere or google it. See if they can get you a new swing or give you a refund.

I don’t mean this to sound insulting but double check to make sure you have the batteries in the right way. I did this myself.

That’s graco swings for ya.
Mine worked for about 3-4 months (guess I got lucky. ) The music part shorted out during the first month of use though. It started making the clicking noise as well.
For some reason, sometimes it would still work if the swing was a little uneven. (And I mean a little. ) Don’t go putting text books under that thing.
We have hard wood floors with big area rugs. If I put the front on the area rug and the back of the sing on the floor. It would work.
If you just bought it, it should still be under warranty, call graco or return it.
The clicking noise isn’t normal. . . . return it!
